The Mid-Atlantic Review 2025 Call for Submissions

The editors of The Review invite writers that live in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and beyond, to submit poems for publication.

Update 2/25/25:

We are currently accepting submissions here for the special section, Amplifying Disabled Voices, edited by Christopher Heuer, Marlena Chertock, and Gregory Luce. 

We are not currently accepting submissions for the open/general call. The open call is currently CLOSED and expected to re-open April, 2025. We are presently only accepting submissions for the Amplifying Disabled Voices section. 

Submissions for the Amplifying Disabled Voices special section will be accepted from February 15 to March 15, 2025. To read the full guidelines for the Amplifying Disabled Voices section, view the blog post on the Day Eight website here

If you are submitting for the Amplifying Disables Voices section, please note that in your submission.

Submissions must include:

  1. Name of the poet
  2. Address of the poet
  3. Email of the poet
  4. Two to four poems
  5. Bio of the poet
