The Mid-Atlantic Review 2025 Call for Submissions
Ends on
The editors of The Review invite writers that live in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and beyond, to submit poems for publication.
Update 3/31/25:
The submission period for the special section, Amplifying Disabled Voices, edited by Christopher Heuer, Marlena Chertock, and Gregory Luce, is now closed. To learn more about that special section, read the blog post on the Day Eight website here.
We are not currently accepting submissions through open call.
The open call is currently CLOSED and expected to re-open May, 2025. We received a larger number of submissions through the end of 2024 than expected and the editors need time to work through the backlog of submissions prior to considering additional work.
If you were asked by an editor to submit work at this time please include the editor name and submission reason in the "additional information" field at the bottom of the submission form.
Submissions must include:
- Name of the poet
- Address of the poet
- Email of the poet
- Two to four poems
- Bio of the poet
Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis, generally within three months of submission. View the magazine website online: https://midatlanticreview.com.
