The Mid-Atlantic Review 2026 Call for Submissions
Ends on
We invite writers that live in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and beyond, to submit poems for publication in the Mid-Atlantic Review.
There are two portals open for submissions:
- DC-area residents should submit using this form.
- NON-DC-area residents must submit using the non-DC-area-resident submission form, here.
Submission from both portals are considered together and (generally) in date order received. Submissions are accepted ongoing with the cutoff for consideration six weeks prior to the beginning of the publication month. For example, the cutoff for submissions to be considered for April publication is February 14.
Review of submissions is led by a different editor each month. Read the 2026 editor announcement on the Day Eight website here for editor bios and listing of editors by month.
If you were asked to submit, please note the editor name and/or submission context in the "additional information" field at the bottom of the submission form.
Submissions must include:
- Name of the poet
- Address of the poet
- Email of the poet
- Two to four poems
- Bio of the poet
The Mid Atlantic Review is a project of the non-profit Day Eight - http://dayeight.org/. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis, generally within three months of submission. View the magazine website online: https://midatlanticreview.com.
